IFCO-2005 INTERNATIONAL
- YOUTH CONFERENCE -

 

Calling All Youth!

Youth in and out of care to participate in the International Foster Care Youth Conference, August 7-13, 2005, to be held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.  

Note: The youth workshops will be held at the Concourse Hotel in downtown Madison.

This conference will be an arena which youth display their skills in working with their peers from around the world, make lasting connections and share their knowledge in their own leadership training.  They will be responsible for facilitating most of their own activities August 7-13, 2005 while interacting with the adults at the IFCO World Conference.

Conference participants will:

Have an opportunity to meet and network with other youth statewide, nationally and internationally.

Hear and see youth in leadership roles as they implement the conference.

bullet

Learn that we have a voice in how we live our lives and that we have a responsibility in and to our community.

bullet

Have fun.

This conference is open to all youth 13 and up to age 24. 
Evening activities will be open to all registered youth and their chaperones.

Youth are invited to submit proposals for workshops, seminars and other types of training.  If interested, please respond to our Call for Proposals. Click the link and print the form at “Need Presenters” - Complete all Information and send to the address listed.

Social Worker

A Social Worker will be on call and available for the youth in the event of crisis.

A Registered Nurse will be available during the conference to provide direction in case of emergency.

Are to be worn at all times during conference activities, including meals.
